The Forest Lake is located in Thousand Hills State Park and provides recreational opportunities such as fishing, swimming and boating, among others. Hiking, mountain biking, wildlife observing and camping are also offered at the park. Petroglyphs are also left in the park from over 1,500 years ago-- the park provides interpretive programs to explain these.
The park offers three trails that can be used for hiking that equal 12 miles when combined.
